Illinois WR/DB talks junior days

Chicago (Ill.) Mount Carmel junior wide receiver prospect James Jefferies (5-foot-10, 175 pounds) has been drawing plenty of college recruiting interest this winter.
"I've been getting a pretty good amount of mail," Jefferies said. "I'm getting mail from Michigan State, Northwestern, Illinois, Northern Illinois, Iowa, Boston College as well as steady mail from several Ivy League schools."

Jefferies has made college junior day visits to both Illinois and Northwestern, and is scheduled to check out Michigan State on March 19th.
"I really enjoyed my junior day visit to Illinois. I had a chance to talk with the coaches and I got along with them really well. I also really liked the campus and the facilities at Illinois. I really got the feeling that the new coaches at Illinois are going to get things turned around. I liked a lot about Illinois on my visit."
Bernaky also liked what he saw at Northwestern.
"I'm really familiar with Northwestern since I've played basketball at various tournaments there over the last few years. Northwestern's campus is just really cool, and I really enjoyed talking to the football coaches, especially Coach (Pat) Fitzgerald who's my recruiting coach. Northwestern has really nice facilities and the academics are also hard to beat."
