Illinois visit impresses KY ATH Aidan Robbins, is an offer next?

The Latest: Aidan Robbins is one of the top players in the state of Kentucky, holding offers from Louisville, South Carolina and several others. But one program that has yet to join his list is Illinois. He recently visited Champagne and came away very impressed with the Illini. Rivals.com caught up with Robbins to get his thoughts on the trip.

In His Words: "I had a great experience at Illinois. They showed lots of love and they have one of the best coaching staffs in the nation, starting with the man himself Lovie Smith. I don't have an offer from them yet but expect one very very soon."

On the message from the Illini coaches: "They like me, I am the ideal football player they want in their program. I watched film with Coach Ward and everything to sitting one-on-one talking about life with Coach Smith. They are heavily recruiting me and I think I will hear something this week."

On upcoming camp visits: "Ohio state, Kentucky, Notre Dame and Indiana to name a few."

Rivals Reaction: It's a little surprising that Robbins left campus without an offer but with some of the top schools in the country set to evaluate him in the coming weeks, it wouldn't be a surprise to see Illinois and several others join his offer list before long.
