Illinois visit a good one for Russell
"I'm done with my Illinois visit," Detroit (Mich.) DePorres wide receiver Talonnie Russell said. "I'm just waiting for my plane."
Asked how the visit went, Russell said, "Good. I liked the atmosphere. I liked the people and the coaches. I liked the facilities."

Russell also made an official visit to North Carolina Dec. 17.
"I'm not sure which one I like better," he said. "Those are my two favorites.
"I think I'll take one more visit, but I'm not sure where."
The 5-foot-11 and 160 pound Russell caught close to 40 passes during his senior season. Russell is the No. 58 wide receiver prospect in the Rivals.com player rankings.
