Cornwell talked about his weekend visit as well as telling us why he decided to commit to the Cardinals.
"I just had a very good visit this weekend. The coaches and the players are great guys, and I was just really impressed with the campus as well as the facilities at Ball State. Ball State also does a good job of graduating it's players, and the academics at Ball State are also very solid. I was able to get to really know the coaches and the players much better this weekend, and it all just feels like a great fit for me."
"My family is also very excited about me playing at Ball State. It's pretty close to home, so they will be able to watch me play in college. I also like the direction that the Ball State program is heading. Everything just seemed to add up for me this weekend. I'm a solid verbal commit to Ball State University."
Cornwell had offers from Ball State and Eastern Michigan as well as recruiting interest from several Mid-American Conference schools.
