Illinois safety pulls the trigger
O'Fallon, Ill., safety Justin Stewart was a virtual unknown before a summer camp and visit schedule started to shed light on his recruitment. The two-star rated defensive back however, could not wait any longer before ending his process and picking a school.
The programs that were involved included Illinois, Kansas, Arkansas State, and Missouri but it was Northern Illinois that gave the 6-foot, 182-pound defender his first offer. When it came and after a visit, he decided enough was enough.

"I committed to Northern Illinois a couple of weeks ago," Stewart said. "I kind of wanted to get it out of the way. That school has always show a lot of interest in before any one else did. I went up there for an unofficial visit over the summer and I liked it."
"The coaches and some of the players were what I really liked."
Though Stewart said that no offer had come from any of the other interested schools, he didn't rule out a few programs such as Arkansas State and Kansas getting involved. In fact, he's not completely ruling out visits.
"I might take a couple, but for now I'm solid with my commitment," Stewart said. "We'll just have to see how it goes from here."
