Illinois prospect lands another Big 10 offer

Wheaton South junior tight end prospect Tony Moeaki (6-foot-4, 250 pounds) has learned very quickly that the Fed Ex delivery man usually brings good news, and the Fed Ex man has gotten to know the Moeaki's residence quite well over the last few months. Moeaki on Saturday landed his third Big Ten conference scholarship from Wisconsin.
"Before I left for the Purdue Junior Day, the Fed Ex man dropped off a letter from the University of Wisconsin," said Tony Moeaki. "Wisconsin has offered me a scholarship. I visited Madison for a Junior Day a few weeks ago, and the coaches wanted to see more tape before they offered, so my coach sent them more tape earlier last week."

Moeaki added that, "I really liked my visit to Wisconsin alot. The atmosphere for the basketball game was incredible, and I also loved the campus and the facilities. I'm excited about getting an early offer from Wisconsin."
Moeaki also made a stop on Saturday to the Purdue Junior Day as well. "The visit went well overall, and I was able to talk to several of the coaches at Purdue. They told me that they want to see more film on me, and that they have very limited scholarship numbers for this recruiting class but that they were going to recruit me very hard. Purdue hasn't ofered me."
Moeaki, who now has offers from Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin also wanted to clear the air on one issue as well. "Alot of people and colleges have been wondering if I'm going to head to Brigham Young like my brother (Larry) did, and while I like the Cougars alot, I'm still going to check out all of my options and I haven't written off any schools yet. Make sure everyone knows that I'm not a lock for anyone at all."
Consider it done.
