While five Illinois prospects have already been named to the latest Rivals100.com Top 100 listing that was released early last week, another prospect who continues to see his recruiting stock soar this off season is Libertyville offensive tackle prospect David Moosman (6-foot-5, 270 pounds). Moosman has just landed his fifth and sixth scholarship offers this week, from Notre Dame and the University of Arizona.
"Both Notre Dame and Arizona have offered me a scholarship," David Moosman said. "I received the paperwork from Notre Dame, and the Arizona coaches told my head coach that they are offering me and that they are sending me the paperwork this week. It's exciting for me as well as for my family to have so many options and offers so early."
Moosman, who attended a Notre Dame junior day back in February, said that his video tape must have clinched the Irish coaching staff's decision to make an early offer. "I really enjoyed my visit to Notre Dame, and the coaches also seemed very interested at that time, but they also wanted to see more video tape on me. My coach sent out the tape request, and now Notre Dame has offered."

Arizona? How did the Wildcats enter the picture for Moosman? "My coach (Randy Kuceyeski) knows a few of the coaches at Arizona, and he's been telling me that Arizona also requested tape and that they were going to offer me, and my coach talked to the Arizona coaches today and told him that Arizona is offering me a scholarship."
Moosman now has offers from Illinois, Iowa, Northwestern, Wisconsin, Notre Dame and Arizona.
So what will be David Moosman's next step? "My Dad and I are planning to get in the car and were going to check out as many schools as we can during spring break. I'm going to focus on the schools that have already offered, so I'm hoping to see all of those schools with the exception of Arizona. I'm very interested in Arizona, but just from a time standpoint it would be really tough to make it to Arizona this time around."
Does Moosman have any favorites at this point? "Not really. It just fun right now for me, and I'm going to see where things go from here. I definitely want to check out some spring practices and I also want to get a close look at several schools in person. Once I finish this spring break tour hopefully I'll have a better idea of who I like. I'm planning on waiting to make any decision and I might take at least a few official visits before I would decide on anything."
