Ann Arbor (Mich.) Skyline class of 2017 linebacker Treshaun Hayward picked up his second scholarship offer, and first from a Big Ten school, on Saturday.

"I just got offered from Illinois," Hayward said. "They let my coach know and he called me, let me know. It felt good. It's just a blessing that it's only my second offer and already it's Big Ten. My hard work is paying off."
Hayward has yet to follow up with the Illinois coaching staff about the offer, but heard they are recruiting him as an inside linebacker.
"They liked my physicality and that I am a hard-hitter," he said. "I haven't made a visit yet, but I am looking forward to. (Illinois) is all new to me."
Hayward was unable to watch Illinois' game on Saturday because he was on an unofficial visit to Michigan State.
"I really liked the energy and the attitude they played with. It was a good experience to watch," Hayward said. "I usually just key in on my position to see what they are doing. (Michigan State's linebackers) are very patient and read keys well. They are very disciplined."
Hayward made the trip to East Lansing with teammates Charles Jones, Brandon Cole and Daelin Hayes, who was on his official visit.
"I talked to (Curtis) Blackwell, the recruiter, a little bit," Hayward said. "They are liking my (film) and showing interest, they just want to see more."
Hayward landed his first offer earlier in the process from Miami (Ohio). He is hearing from a host of Mid-American Conference schools and will take his next visit on Tuesday to see Bowling Green.
The 6-foot-1, 205-pound Hayward finished his junior season with 92 tackles, six sacks, three forced fumbles and one interception.
