Illinois, NC State offer versatile lineman

Illinois and NC State are the latest offers for one of Ohio's top two-way linemen.
Terry Davis, a 6-foot-4, 270-pound lineman with the ability to play on the offensive or defensive line, has received 15 total offers, but each new offer that comes in still excites him.

Last week he was happy to learn of two new offers that had come in, especially because he has spent the better part of the last couple of months building a relationship with coaches from those schools.
"I actually got offered by NC State (yesterday)," Davis explained. "That was offer number 15. A couple of days ago I was offered by Illinois. Those are the two most recent ones."
While some offers come out of the blue that was hardly the case here.
"I've been speaking to Illinois for a good couple of months and I'm definitely going to take a visit up there this summer," he explained.
"I've been speaking to Coach Horton from NC State for probably a month and a half and I definitely want to visit them, too."
Davis said he hasn't narrowed his options much but he's planning to do that this summer after he attends some camps and finds out whether he will be picking up any other offers. Ultimately he would like to make his decision before his first game this fall.
"I want to camp at Ohio State, Michigan and Wisconsin," Davis said, citing three Big Ten schools that haven't offered yet. "I know Ohio State and Michigan have me working out at offensive tackle and Wisconsin has me working out at defensive tackle. I'll do whatever my team needs me to do.
"It's about 50-50 right now as far as (what position) schools want me to play."
So far Davis has visited Cincinnati, Indiana, Michigan, Georgia Tech and Toledo.
