Illinois LB picks Big 12

East St. Louis, Ill., two-star linebacker Brian Harris visited Kansas State back on Jan. 26 and at the time he was blown away by the Wildcats. He just wasn't sure what how his academic status would affect his decision. Well he definitely knows what he's doing now.
"I'm going to sign with Kansas State, and if I don't make it academically then I'm going to go to Independence C.C. down there in Kansas," Harris, who is 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds, said. "I'm working hard, and there's a chance I could make it, but I talked with coach (Tim) Tiebesar and we've got a plan in place. I'm definitely going to be a Wildcat, though."

Harris, who is 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds, said he really enjoyed his official visit to Manhattan and that helped sell him on the fact that he wanted to be a Wildcat.
"It's not too far from home," Harris said.
"I also thought the campus and the players were really cool. They told me they liked me at linebacker or strong safety. I like the lay the wood. I'm that type of player."
Harris visited K-State on Jan. 26 on with teammate Jerrell McDaniel. Harris said there's a good chance that McDaniel will also be signing with K-State on Wednesday.
"I'm going to get him to come with me," Harris said.
