Illinois junior OLB lands an early offer

North Chicago (Ill.) junior outside linebacker prospect Kevin Green (6-foot-2, 205 pounds) has landed his first scholarship offer.
"Bowling Green has offered me a scholarship according to my head coach (Mike Grenda)," Green said. "The coaches from Bowling Green were in school a few weeks ago and watched tape with my coach. They told him before they left school that Bowling Green was offering me a scholarship."

Green, who played outside linebacker and fullback for the Warhawks, was named as an all conference and all area performer in 2004.
Green talked about landing his first offer.
"It's definitely exciting to get an early scholarship offer. I don't know a lot about Bowling Green except that they have been a good program and that they play in the MAC conference. I'm going to check them out and do some research on the school and the football program."
Green has also continued to receive a steady stream of mail this winter.
"I'm still getting a lot of mail from Michigan, Louisville, Cincinnati, Bowling Green, Northern Illinois, Northwestern, Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana and Wisconsin."
Green is also planning to attend several college junior days this winter and spring.
"I've received a lot of invites to different junior days, and I'm planning to attend junior days at Iowa, Michigan, Purdue, Northwestern and Notre Dame."
