Illinois four star linebacker commits

Downers Grove South four star ranked senior inside linebacker Sam Carson has ended his recruiting tonight, and Carson called the University of Illinois head coach Ron Turner and gave him his verbal commitment.

"I've made a verbal commitment to the University of Illinois tonight " said Sam Carson. "I made a few offiicial visits, but in the end Illinois just felt like home and I feel that Illinois is the best place for me, so I committed."

According to Sam Carson, "Overall I just always felt at home at Illinois. I know alot of the players there, and Illinois just seems like the place that I can get a good education as well as to get a chance to play in the Big Ten. I'm very happy and relieved that my recruiting is over with, and I'm a solid verbal to Illinois."

So what was the hardest part of the recruiting process for Sam Carson? "It just got kind of tiresome after awhile. The phone never stopped ringing and I also started to fall behind a little on my studies. I'm very happy to have this decision finished."

Carson had narrowed down his final choices to Illinois, Indiana, Michigan State and Louisville, and Carson made official visit to Michigan State, Illinois and Indiana and Carson has cancelled an official visit set to Louisville on Januray 9th,
