East St. Louis, Ill., three-star defensive end Brandon Harold dominated at several summer camps and truly put his name on the national recruiting map.
The 6-foot-5, 230-pounder is now doing everything he can to help East St. Louis win ball games and along the way he's helped further cement his stock as one of the best players in the state of Illinois.
"We've played three games this season," Harold, who is the No. 21 player in Illinois, said. "I've done pretty good. The first game went all right. The second was pretty good. Then last game went very good, but we didn't finish the game. It was over at half time because of rain. They just cancelled the game because it was 39-0 anyway. I had like four tackles at half."
Harold said he's been hearing the most from Kansas State, Illinois, Michigan, Arkansas and Ohio State on the recruiting front. He has scholarship offers from Illinois, Iowa State, Kansas State and Kansas.
"I won't be making any visits until like early December," Harold said. "I'm just concentrating on my senior season. I'll probably make a visit to Kansas State, Ohio State and Illinois. Those three at least, but I'm not sure about the other two.
"My top teams would be Kansas State, Illinois, Arkansas, Michigan and Ohio State. But my biggest favorite is most definitely Kansas State. I feel real comfortable with their coaches. I probably won't even commit until it's about time to sign."
