Illinois athlete will see Nebraska-Missouri game

Maurio Suggs was named first team All-Conference on defense and second team All-Metro and All-Metro East last season.
This season the 6-foot-1, 175 pound defensive back from Cahokia High School in Cahokia, Illinois has about 30 tackles and four interception on defense. As a quarterback he has about 250 yards passing for six touchdowns and three interceptions.

Maurio has no offers as of yet.
He is being contacting by Illinois, Missouri, Minnesota and Iowa.
He doesn't plan to set up any visits until after his football season. He is planning to attend the Nebraska game at Missouri on September 29th.
Maurio is looking at the academic standards of the schools and distance will not be a factor. When asked how his parents felt, Maurio said, "they just want me to go to college."
Maurio attend camps at Illinois and Missouri.
Missouri is the favorite at this time.
If he had to make his official visits, they would be to the following (his comments follow):
Missouri - "They have a great academic program and they are recruiting the hardest with a call or letter at least once a month."
Illinois - "They have a great football program, so I want to visit them to learn more about the academic programs they have."
Iowa - "The football and academic programs are good there."
Maurio lists his strong points as - "My vision of the field and great coverage as a free safety are my strong points. I'm a coverage safety. That's the type of player I am. I haven't really thought about it," Maurio Suggs said.
He plans to major in business or accounting in college.
