Illinois 3 star LB names favorites

Chicago (Ill.) Morgan Park three star ranked outside linebacker prospect Phillip Brown (6-foot-0, 215 pounds) is ready to begin his senior season this Friday in one of the top opening night games in Illinois. The Mustangs will face Chicago Mount Carmel on Friday at Chicago's Gately Stadium on Chicago's South Side.
“I've never been so hyped up for a game than I am for this game against Mount Carmel," Phillip Brown said. “They are always a great team, and to play such a great team to open the season makes it that much more fun. I was in church on Sunday, and I'll be the first to admit that my mind was more on football than on God today."

Brown knows that a strong early senior season could bring more recruiting interest and offers.
"I'm really happy with the offers I have already, but I also know that several schools will be looking hard at myself and several of my teammates this fall. I just want to go out and play as hard as I can, and hopefully the colleges will see what they want to see from me this fall."
Brown, who has early offers from Ball State, Northern Illinois and Akron, also has been drawing plenty of additional interest this summer.
"I'm getting a lot of hand-written mail from Cincinnati, Iowa, Wisconsin, Western Michigan and Kansas State."
Does Brown have any early favorites?
"Ball State is my current favorite, and I also like NIU and Akron. My sister is going to grad school at Michigan, and I like the Wolverines a lot. I'm going to keep things pretty open for now. I just want to go out and prove myself this fall."
