Illinois has verbally offered one of the top offensive linemen in the Buckeye State.
Joseph Spencer, a 6-foot-4, 270-pound offensive lineman from Mason, Ohio, has received a verbal offer from the Illini.
To say he was excited about it when he learned of it would be an understatement.

"I found out about it last night," Spencer said on Sunday. "I had camped there on Thursday and was just talking to them.
"It was my second time being there and I really like the school. I really like coaches. It was good getting up there and working with Coach Gilbert, the offensive line coach."
Is Illinois a serious contender?
"It's definitely one I'm very interested in," he admitted. "I'm going to take them into consideration when the camp season ends."
Spencer is actually done with his own camp tour this summer, even though some schools will be hosting camps later.
Might he take some unofficial visits before school starts?
"I'm kind of looking into that. I may be going down to NC State, Wake Forest and South Florida," he said, reiterating sentiments he shared earlier last week.
