Illini land Ohioans Jones and Logan

"Zach (Logan) and I committed to Illinois together," defensive back Tyjuan Jones said. "I like their program. I like the coaches. And they have a nice graduation rate. That's what I was looking for."
"Michigan was my second choice."

The 6-foot-3 and 205 pounder from Trotwood (Ohio) Madison broke his ankle the first game of his junior year. Jones came back at the end of the season and was impressive in the playoffs.
Jones chose Illinois over interest from Michigan and scholarship offers from Purdue, Iowa, Maryland, North Carolina State, and several MAC schools.
"I felt like Illinois was the best place for me to go," defensive back Zach Logan said. "It's the best fit for me."
"I went up there in June and liked it. I thought about committing then, but I wanted to see what Michigan said. They wanted to wait till my first game or two to decide whether to offer."
"So I committed to Illinois."
The 6-foot-1 and 175 pounder from Trotwood (Ohio) Madison made 56 tackles and intercpeted four passes during his junior season. Logan also broke up 10 passes.
