Illini, Bulls in the mix for Georgia QB

Lovejoy (Ga.) dual-threat quarterback Kisan Flakes has penciled in a pair of new schools for official visits in January.
“I’ll be going to Illinois and South Florida for sure, sometime after my Mississippi State visit,” he said. “I don’t have the dates set right now, but we should have them as soon as the coaches can call back.

“Illinois has been coming on strong lately. After they asked for some film on me, they came to school to see me and then came back to my house to talk with me and my mom. We like them a lot. I’m looking forward to going up there and checking things out.
“As far as South Florida is concerned, their coach also came here to talk with me, and I really like the way I fit in their offense. They do a lot of the same spread formations and even use some of the terminology that we do at Lovejoy. I like where their program is headed, too. They’re a program on the rise. Playing in the Big East will be a big jump for them.”
Mississippi State is also in the mix for Flakes. He’ll visit Starkville on Jan. 9.
“I’m still pretty high on them,” he said. “They’ve really recruited me hard the whole time and done a good job staying in touch with me.”
Asked if he plans to take any other trips, Flakes said: "I'd like to do all five, but I don't have anybody in mind for the other ones right now, and I know it's getting kind of late."
Flakes (6-0, 190, 4.4) passed for 2,500 yards and 26 touchdowns while rushing for 700 yards and 10 touchdowns as a senior.
Academically, he maintains a 3.5 GPA and has a 1000 on the SAT.
