ILB Tongo drawing more visitors

Naperville (Ill.) North junior inside linebacker prospect Osahon Tongo (6-foot-2, 223 pounds) was planning to attend the Michigan Nike Camp last Saturday, but decided to hold off because he's been battling a nasty cold and flu over the last few weeks.
"I really wanted to go to the Nike Camp last weekend," Tongo said. "I have been fighting this really bad cold and flu for the last few weeks. I ran at another combine when I wasn't feeling good and I ran poorly. I just am starting to feel better this week, but when you have problems breathing it makes it hard to go at it hard."

Tongo has also continued to draw several in school visitors.
"I would say that we've had anywhere from 15-20 college coaches make in school visits so far in May. My head coach (Larry McKeon) has been talking with all of the coaches, and he's been keeping me updated on who's been coming into school each day. I really don't have a list of those schools, but it's been quite a bit."
Tongo has also been drawing phone calls from a handful of schools.
"I've gotten calls so far from Illinois, Michigan State, Harvard and Georgia Tech. Several other schools have told my head coach that they will be calling me before the end of the month. I've enjoyed talking with the coaches. It's given me a chance to ask them questions about their schools and it's academic programs."
Tongo is also looking at his summer camp schedule.
"We are pretty busy as a team this summer with various camps and 7 on 7 events, but I'm looking at going to at least a few one day college camps."
Osahon Tongo currently has scholarship offers from Georgia Tech, Northwestern and Illinois.
