IE tight end up to four offers

Defensive end/tight end Everett Beed (6-3, 220, 4.5) from Serrano, Calif., plays for very well coached program out in the far reaches of the Inland Empire area of Southern California, so he is somewhat a sleeper. He first grabbed the attention of Rivals.com at the Inland Empire Combine last May.
Beed is currently a soft verbal committal to UNLV, but the Rebels are getting competition from Colorado State, San Diego State and UTEP. The word is Nevada and Fresno State are on the verge of also tendering offers.

There are two Pac 10 teams that are beginning to shoe interest in Beed.
"UCLA is beginning to talk to me," Beed said. "They wanted me to go to one of their camps, but I couldn't so now they want me to take an unofficial visit and I am planning to take an unofficial visit sometime next week.
"Cal also wanted me to go their camp, but again I wasn't able to" Beed said. "They defensive line coach Tosh Lupoi told me they're going to watch my first couple of games, and if they like what they see, will offer."
Out of loyalty, Beed has a soft spot towards UNLV.
"I am a soft verbal to UNLV because they came to me first," Beed said. "I have a little bit of dedication towards them, but since other schools have been recruiting me, the process has gotten harder, so I opened my options up to other schools."
Does Beed have a time limit for when his decision will be made?
"I will probably make my decision in the middle of the season or after I take all my official visits," Beed said. "I'm planning on taking trips to Fresno State, San Diego State, UTEP and UNLV," Beed said. "These visits are pretty much set in stone for me."
What is Beed looking for in a school?
"I want to fit in around the college and the football team," Beed said. "I also want to have a good feel for the defense. I know I can do my part and that playing time will come."
Beed earned all-league honors as a defensive end after racking up 75 tackle and nine sacks. He also caught 10 passes for 95 yards.
