Idaho QB close on decision

Nampa (Idaho) Skyview quarterback Matt Ballenger is one of the top signal callers in the West region and is sitting on two offers right now. One of the two schools that have offered is in a very good position and could get a commitment by early summer.
Ballenger, 6-5, 195 pounds is one of the top two way athletes in the region and had a very good season on the hardwood as well as the gridiron last season. In fact, Ballenger was the Gatorade player of the year in hoops as a junior while earning all-conference honors at quarterback.

The signal caller completed 76-142 passes for 1,287 yards and 11 touchdowns and rushed for another 112 yards and three more scores.
On the recruiting front, Ballenger is holding offers from Colorado and Idaho State and it sounds like he has a very good idea of where he wants to go already.
"Colorado is definitely my top school," Ballenger said. "I took an unofficial visit there in April and just fell in love with the place. I like Coach Hawkins a lot and I get along real well with the offensive coordinator and have a good relationship with Cody Hawkins too.
"I think it's just a good overall fit for me and the campus and city itself is really nice as well. I'm going to camp with June 20 but I think there is a good chance I'll be ready to make my decision even before then. I like Idaho State and I'm interested in Utah too but Colorado is where I'm leaning right now."
