Hyppolite makes a decision

Before even heading out on a visit this weekend, Wakefield, Mass. athlete Martin Hyppolite made a decision. In fact, the 6-foot-1, 215-pounder committed on Thursday night.
"I gave my verbal commitment to Connecticut on Thursday," he said. "They came out and offered me before Christmas and I was the only running back they offered this year. They said they wanted me.

"I like the facilities, they are great and everything is brand new. They seem to be an up and coming program and that's where I want to be at, Division I, Big East."
One other factor played into Hyppolite's choice.
"It's really close to home, only an hour and fifteen minutes away, that's good because I'm close with my family."
Hyppolite has been recruited as a running back for the Huskies.
"They have told me I'm a running back, but haven't talked about playing time," he said. "That is determined by me."
The two-star prospect went on about his official visit this past weekend.
"It was good, I loved it," he stated. "I got to tour the school, stadium and eat out. I met with some of the players who are really good guys and talked to all of the coaches.
"They are great. I definitely related to them, they are really down-to-earth."
