Hyppolite lands Big East offer

Wakefield, Mass. linebacker Martin Hyppolite has seen his recruiting pick up in the past month. The 6-foot-1, 215-pounder is up to five scholarships including the latest from the Big East.
"I've got full scholarship offers from UMass, Maine, Army, Navy and Connecticut," he said. "I'm still waiting on Boston College.

"I got the offer from Connecticut right before Christmas vacation. I am considering it, but I'm waiting to see if Boston College offers."
What does Hyppolite think of the Huskies?
"I think about them a lot," he said. "They are definitely a school I'm interested in going to. They have brand new facilities, their football team is up and coming and I definitely want to play for them. They are recruiting me as a running back, just like Boston College."
Hyppolite confirmed he plans to take an official visit to Connecticut on January 16th.
Meanwhile, Boston College hasn't pulled the trigger quite yet.
"I had a meeting with admissions yesterday," he said. "They usually have every player they offer go through admissions. It sounds like they want to offer, they are just waiting on admissions.
"I've thought a lot about them. They have two young running backs and good coaches. The fact that Coach Jagodzinski might not be there next year doesn't bother me."
