Huskers offer Hilliard

Cincinnati (Ohio) St. Xavier class of 2015 linebacker Justin Hilliard saw his offer list run to eight schools following an in-school visit from Nebraska assistant coach Rick Kaczenski on Tuesday.
"I got an [offer] from Nebraska this evening," Hilliard said Tuesday night. "[St. Xavier] Coach [Steve] Specht sort of had an idea they were going to offer me."

The offer from Nebraska is Hilliard's eighth of the process, and he is looking to visit Lincoln during the summer.
"I don't have too much familiarity with them, but I heard their atmosphere at the games is great and it is one of the most exciting games to go to," Hilliard said.
Other schools that Hilliard is looking to visit this summer include Clemson and Tennessee. He made his most recent visit two weekends ago to Iowa for the Hawkeye's spring game.
"I thought it was a good visit," Hilliard said. "I wouldn't say one of the top visits, but we got to see the coaches and talk to them one-on-one, got to talk with the head coach… it was a pretty nice day."
Iowa has also offered the 6-foot-2, 225-pound sophomore linebacker. Other offers have come from Arkansas, Indiana, Akron, Ohio, Toledo and Western Michigan.
