Huskers move in on juco OL

As with any junior college player, things can change in the blink of an eye. That’s the case for three-star offensive tackle Marcus Gordon of Highland (Kan.) Community College.
Just a few weeks ago he was looking heavily at South Carolina and had a visit set up for December 10. With Lou Holtz and his coaching staff no longer at USC, other teams have now pushed toward the top of his list.

One team made their move on Saturday.
“I got a call from coach Blake at Nebraska, and they want me to come up there this weekend for an official visit,” Gordon, who is 6-foot-6 and 320 pounds, said. “He wants me to be up there for the December 3 weekend. That’s something I’m really looking forward to.”
Gordon is now also talking with Louisville about a visit on that second weekend in December, and with him graduating and being able to sign on December 15 that means he only has about two weeks to make up his mind.
“I’m kind of pressed for time,” Gordon said. “I don’t know how this is going to break down or work out.”
Gordon also had early offers from Kansas, Ole Miss, UTEP and Utah State.
