Crete-Monee (Ill.) 2013 wide receiver Laquon Treadwell has seen his offer list double in the last two weeks, and continues to hear from new schools on a weekly basis.
The 6-3, 200-pound receiver's latest offer was from Nebraska and it joined previous offers from Indiana, Michigan and Notre Dame.
"I want to say that was last Wednesday or Thursday," Treadwell said of receiving the Nebraska offer. "I had been talking to them for a little while. They said they liked my film and how aggressive I was."
Although the Cornhuskers just recently offered, they have been showing interest since Treadwell's recruitment picked up earlier this fall and he has already looked into their program at length.
"I think they are a great school," Treadwell said. "One of our basketball players had planned a trip down there and said it was great. He committed to Illinois, but he still said it was a great place to go see."
Indiana had offered a day or two before Nebraska. He received his Michigan and Notre Dame offers back in October. Although they have not yet offered, Ohio State has been showing increasing interest in the last couple weeks as well.
"I have been talking to the new coaching staff and they are saying they want to get me down on campus," Treadwell said. "They have watched my film and all that. They always have been a great football school and I would like to get down there and see it."
Treadwell also plans to get out and see Michigan State and Nebraska sometime this winter, likely for a junior day or basketball game, and he also is looking at return trips to Notre Dame and Michigan.
At this time, Treadwell does not list any leaders. He is aiming for either a pre-senior year or early senior year commitment.
After a junior football campaign in which he caught 74 passes for 1,400 yards and 18 touchdowns, Treadwell has now transitioned into basketball season. He plays anywhere from shooting guard to power forward for a 5-2 Crete-Monee hoops squad.
