Hurts laying on the hurt

While San Leandro, Calif., four star athlete prospect Sekeli Faaeteete (6-1, 212, 4.49) gets most of the recruiting love from D-I colleges there is another player who is beginning to garner attention and he is offensive lineman Chris Hurts (6-2, 265, 5.1).
Hurts has been laying the hurt on opponents as he has already recorded 25 flatback blocks in San Leandro’s first four games.

“Chris is all over the field making plays,” San Leandro head coach Brad Bowers said. “He has made an impact for us on both sides of the ball.”
“Chris plays a lot faster than his 5.1 forty time would indicate,” Bowers said. “He is what is called football fast.”
“Chris is beginning to see his stock heat up because of his very aggressive and solid play,” Bowers said. “He is a hitting machine.”
Hurts has heard from Cal, San Jose State, Utah State, Utah, Nevada, New Mexico State and Fresno State.
If Hurts keeps hurting the opposition we will be hearing from the San Leandro lineman as the recruiting season heats up.
