Hurst makes a commitment

"I've made a commitment," wide receiver Lonnie Hurst said. "I committed to Illinois. Their coaches were pretty happy when I told them."
"I thought I could go in and get playing time there as a freshman. That was a big thing."

"Plus, I felt more comfortable at Illinois than I did at Michigan State."
Hurst had offers from both the Illini and Spartans as well as others including Purdue, Northwestern, Wisconsin, Iowa, Indiana, and Colorado.
The 6-foot-3 and 180 pounder from Detroit (Mich.) Jesuit, caught 39 passes and scored nine times during his junior season. Hurst is the Rivals.com number 15 ranked wide receiver.
