Hunter waiting for the phone to ring

Tyler (Texas) John Tyler running back Kendall Hunter hasn't had much change in his recruiting but he's wondering where all the heavy contact is.
The 5-foot-9, 185-pounder is closing in on 1,000 yards so far this season and averaging around two scores a game. Hunter's scholarship offers from Oklahoma State, Baylor, Iowa State, Kansas, and Purdue. The phone calls though have dropped off.

"Nobody has been calling me lately," Hunter said. "I'm not real sure why. I mean I'll get calls every now and then. The ones that call mostly are OSU, UTEP, and TCU."
Hunter says that he hasn't spoken with Baylor, Iowa State, and Kansas recently. With his season going well, he's not going to rush into naming favorites or setting visits.
"I'm still looking at everybody," Hunter said. "I haven't taken the time to sit down and look at everybody closely. We've been practicing pretty late.
"I'll set up my visits after the season is over."
