Hunter Sellers breaks down his commitment to Pittsburgh

Hunter Sellers has made his decision.

Over the weekend, the three-star safety out of College Park (Ga.) Woodward Academy took his second visit to Pittsburgh, and on this trip, he committed to the Panthers.

Sellers gave coach Pat Narduzzi the news Sunday before heading home.

"I think coach Narduzzi was surprised when I committed to him," said Sellers. "He and the rest of the staff were excited about my commitment, and they are all happy to have me coming up there."

Michigan State and UCF were up there with Pittsburgh entering the weekend, but the visit changed things.

"I knew I liked Pittsburgh from my first time there on spring break, but I did not go into the visit thinking I was close to committing. I planned to commit in August or September, but I got up there around the players and I was treated like part of the team.

"I go off how I feel, so feeling like one the players was really big for me. The more I was around them, and the way I was feeling let me know Pittsburgh was the right place for me."

Visits to other schools are still likely, but Sellers feels good about his decision and it appears it will be hard to change his mind.

"It is a once in a lifetime experience, so I do think I will take my official visits and see other schools, but I plan on sticking with my commitment," said Sellers. "It is a great atmosphere, it felt great there to me and I know Pittsburgh is the right place.

"It felt right for me up there, so I do not see me changing my mind."
