Hunter earns Duke offer

Duncan (S.C.) James F. Byrne wide receiver Reynaldo Hunter is just another in what is an impressive list of wide receivers in the Palmetto State in 2005. The 5-foot-11, 170 pound Hunter has already picked up one scholarship offer.
“I got my first offer from Duke,” Hunter said. “I’m hearing from a lot of other schools though. Some of the main ones are Clemson, NC State, Auburn, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Maryland, Georgia, Kent State, Tennessee and Georgia Tech.”

Hunter runs the 40 yard dash in 4.4 seconds, has a 265 pound bench press and 365 pound squat.
“I went to junior day at Duke about a month and a half ago. When I was there I got to go to the Duke-Maryland basketball game and that was a really cool experience. I got invited to go to Clemson for a scrimmage, but I didn’t get to go.”
Hunter plans to attend the NIKE camp at Georgia Tech on May 8th as well as team camps at Duke, Appalachian State and maybe NC State.
“I can’t go to a place where I don’t fit in so that is important to me. I really want to feel at home wherever I go. Facilities, academics and the condition of the program will also be stuff that I look at.”
