Hunt waiting for Wyoming

Littleton (Colo.) Chatfield High defensive end Cale Hunt hasn’t decided on any dates for official or unofficial visits, but he’s starting to piece together where he’ll be going.
“I don’t have any dates yet, but I think I’ll probably visit Colorado State and Boise State, maybe Wyoming,” Hunt said. “Hopefully I’ll take some officials, too, depending on coaches.”

While he’s still waiting on his first scholarship offer, Hunt has already come up with an early leader and a couple schools that aren’t far behind.
“Wyoming is my early favorite,” he said. “They’re having such a good year. It’s also a good school with a nice campus in a nice place. I’m also really interested in Colorado State and Boise State. Colorado and SMU are still talking to me, too.”
Despite Chatfield’s 3-5 record, Hunt said he’s been happy with his progress on the field after a switch from outside linebacker to the inside slot.
“I’m up in the top five in the state in tackles,” Hunt said. “I have a good knack for the ball, and I can play sideline-to-sideline. I think it helps me be a smart player on the field.”
While Hunt has a pedigree at Colorado (his father was a linebacker there in the early ‘70s), he says that his father has been supportive of his decisions throughout his recruiting.
“My Dad doesn’t care where I go,” he said. “But he does make me feel good, a little bit more comfortable, with Colorado.”
