Humphries happy with season, Clemson

Hornea Path (S.C.) Belton-Honea High has a star two-way lineman: Barry Humphries. The center and defensive tackle, who committed to Clemson this summer, has helped Belton-Honea to a 9-0 record and a region title.
“Things are all going great right now,” Humphries said. “I love senior year.”

With continued success on the field, other schools have called Humphries, but he insists he’s completely firm on Clemson.
“A couple of other schools have called, but I’m only talking to Clemson,” he said. “I talk to Coach David Blackwell [linebackers coach and recruiting coordinator] and Coach Scott [offensive line coach Brad] there often. It’s a great school and a great program. I really liked Clemson already. I’m a real firm commitment.”
The Tigers will also be the only team to host the lineman on an official visit; although Humphries said he wasn’t sure when he would make the trip. In the meantime, he’ll be focused on improving the factors that he feels make him a top player.
“I’m dominant, just very intense,” Humphries said. “I like run-blocking and driving people off the ball, overwhelming people with my strength.”
Humphries is the No. 3 offensive center prospect in the country, and is ranked among the top 10 overall prospects in South Carolina.
