Humphreys lands major Pac-12 offer

Connor Humphreys was the defensive line MVP at the Rivals Camp Series presented by Under Armour in Los Angeles and since then his recruitment has taken off.
USC offered Monday and the Portland (Ore.) Central Catholic four-star defensive end is planning another trip to Los Angeles probably for the weekend of April 13-14 to see what the Trojans have to offer.

"It's all definitely based on that Rivals Camp," Humphreys said.
"That really helped show a lot of schools I can compete not only in the Northwest but in California and the whole nation. That was a huge stepping stone and winning that MVP definitely helped."
The Trojans are definitely attractive to Humphreys, a 6-foot-3, 257-pound prospect who has proven at multiple camps that he's nearly unstoppable in one-on-one drills.
The Portland Central Catholic star has had a few conversations with USC but he's especially looking forward to his upcoming unofficial visit to gauge just where the Trojans stand in his recruitment.
Humphreys said he could see himself playing at USC but doesn't plan to make his commitment until a little later in his recruitment just to make sure every school has a chance to offer him and then he could determine which spot is best for him.
USC is definitely being taken seriously.
"They text messaged my coach so I could give them a call and I called them (Monday) morning and we talked and they said they wanted to offer me before I got down there so when I got down there I feel like I'm at home," Humphreys said.
"It's a huge offer. I'm definitely going to have to look at SC and see what they have to provide. I know it's a great school. I definitely want to meet more coaches.
"It could definitely be the school I commit to but I want to wait and see because I know it's really early and I don't know which other schools are going to offer me. I'm going to wait and see what comes and find that out and then make my decision in September."
So far, the four-star prospect lists offers from Arizona State, Boise State, Boston College, California, Oregon State, UCLA, USC, Washington State and Wyoming.
