Humphreys back from Oregon

Connor Humphreys made a trip to Oregon last weekend for the spring game and although the Ducks have not offered yet the Portland (Ore.) Central Catholic defensive end said they're showing more interest.
Oregon has been slow in the recruitment of Humphreys and the 6-foot-3 prospect said since there is no offer yet he cannot seriously consider the Ducks.

If that changes, Oregon would be right there with some other favorites but it's hard to gauge that program since it hasn't offered.
"The coaches wanted me to come down at 8 a.m. and there were only five other juniors there so everything was really personable with the coaches," Humphreys said. "I loved that. They just continued to say they're still evaluating me.
"They thought I was really big compared to what they thought. They thought I was only around 240 pounds so when they weighed me at 266 it kind of surprised them.
"They kind of just said they'll see how things work and that's where they pretty much left me."
Because Oregon has not offered, Humphreys said his main focus will be on the programs that have and some of those stand out more than others.
The defensive line MVP of the Los Angeles Rivals Camp said he wants to take a closer inspection of UCLA and Oregon State, maybe look at USC some more and he could possibly take trips to Tennessee and Wisconsin.
If Oregon gets in the mix, the Ducks would be right there as well.
"Going there and hearing what they have to say I'm going to be more focused on the schools that have offered me," Humphreys said.
"If they want to continue to not offer me then it's on their part and I can't consider them as an option. If they do want to offer me I'll definitely consider them as an option. I want to consider the schools that have offered me."
Oregon wasn't the only trip Humphreys took in recent days. The four-star also went to Corvallis and had a great time with that coaching staff. With all the talk of UCLA, USC and Oregon around Humphreys, the Beavers cannot be counted out, either.
"I went there on Friday and it was nice," Humphreys said.
"I liked it there. The coaches are amazing there. They're high-quality coaches with good morals and beliefs. I definitely feel comfortable with them and the team and it's a great school, too. I love it there."
