THE LATEST: Trajon Cotton is taking an important visit to Colorado this weekend and he’s especially excited to see the Buffaloes during a game-day environment.

The three-star athlete from Sacramento (Calif.) Inderkum has held Colorado in high regard for some time during his recruitment and now he’ll get to see how the coaches handle themselves during a game weekend and he’ll take in the atmosphere around the Arizona State-Colorado matchup.

It should be an important and telling weekend for Cotton and could help determine where the three-star winds up.

Nebraska and Oregon are also serious contenders in Cotton’s recruitment along with Illinois, where he will visit in early November, Arizona State and many other programs especially in the Pac-12.

IN HIS WORDS: “It's a huge trip. They’re on the rise, having a great season and I can finally see the game-day atmosphere there and get a feel for the way the coaches coach.”

RIVALS’ REACTION: This is a massively important official visit for Cotton, who has talked highly of the Buffaloes, their success this season and how he sees himself fitting into the program.

This weekend will give him an especially close look at exactly what that means and how he would be utilized in the program.

But Nebraska and Oregon definitely loom large as well in his recruitment and he has raved about his visits to both of those schools. There’s no doubt the Huskers and Ducks will play a major role in his decision-making process.

The next step for Cotton is to see what Colorado is all about, then take his next official visit to Illinois and then the three-star might be ready to figure some things out in terms of picking a school after one last final visit.
