Huge sleeper QB begins to get looks

Greenwich, Conn. is home to at least two Division I prospects, Jonathan Meyers and Chris Bisanzo. According to head coach Rich Albonizio, the school has one more prospect to watch in the 2008 recruiting class in huge 6-foot-5, 225-pound quarterback Tucker Stafford.
"He is a sleeping giant," Albonizio said. "He's a well kept secret because he didn't play last year. He had a freak injury and it never really gave him a chance to compete.

"This summer though he put in the work and has improved tremendously. He has over 1,000 yards passing, 500 rushing and approximately 12 touchdowns. He has the physical tools and the throws one of the best long balls I've ever seen. He's very, very accurate completing over 70% of his throws. In addition, he's got excellent footwork and runs well too. He only has one interception also."
Stafford currently holds one offer from New Hampshire, but Division I schools are coming.
"Duke was up here watching practice the other day on the sidelines," he said. "We're just about to send tapes out since he didn't play last year. I'm sure once they go, he'll get more offers. Hopefully someone is looking for a quarterback."
