Huge OT impressed with Hokies

Offensive tackle Bryan Hall out of Glen Allen (Va.) Hermitage recently visited Virginia Tech. So how did the 6-foot-5, 300-pound lineman like the visit?
"I'd say it was really good, I like this one more particularly because we saw a football scrimmage, while the others we saw basketball," he said. "I also got to meet up with (Hermitage alums) Andrew Bowman and Duane Brown so that was cool.

"The coaches were really friendly and treated everybody real nice. I didn't personally get to talk to any except the wide receiver's coach with Griff Yancey. What really stuck out was we got to tour the athletic complex and that was pretty cool. The training facilities are great and they have an awesome weight room, it's pretty sweet. I also got to Virginia Tech the night before, so I saw the campus and I enjoyed it and liked what I saw."
Previous to this visit, Hall had visited Virginia, North Carolina State and Maryland.
"I like all three of those schools," he said. "I've been receiving mail from them and know the recruiting coordinators and I'm interested in them and they have an interest in me."
Does Hall have any favorites?
"They're all about neutral, but any school that puts in the effort in me, I'll put it back in them," the lineman said. "I don't really even have a top five, but between now and May I'll get more perspective on where I'd like to go."
Hall has received interest from the SEC, ACC, Big Ten, Big 12 and even the Ivy League. Does he have a desire to play in the Ivy League?
"I wouldn't have a problem playing there, but I would probably prefer to play somewhere else," he said. "Of course, I'd take it for the free education from an Ivy League school, but my focus is on a public school, moreso a big football school."
This spring Hall is preparing for upcoming combines including the Nike Camp at Virginia Tech in April and the Adidas Camp at North Carolina State in May.
"I'm doing weight lifting, running and Velocity Sports Performance, which helps me work on my footwork and speed," Hall said. "I've seen a vast improvement, mostly due to Velocity and my work ethic in general. Velocity has also taught me more coordination that I can't learn on my own."
This summer Hall still isn't sure as to which camps he'll attend, but he has gone to Virginia the last two years and knows he'll do a team camp at the University of Richmond.
Last season, Hall was named all-district, all-region and second team all-state as a junior.
