Huge OL Rising On Many Lists

When talking about the best offensive linemen in the state of Virginia this year, it’s hard to miss 6-foot-6, 330-pound offensive tackle Marshall Ausberry both literally and figuratively. The massive lineman from West Springfield, Va. is emerging as one of the best players in the state.
“I have offers from both Virginia and Virginia Tech as well as Marshall,” said Ausberry. “I also like Penn State and Maryland, but most likely I’ll stay in state.”

So is there a leader between the Cavaliers and Hokies?
“No, not really,” he said. “I’m looking for a school where I feel comfortable in an area that’s not too busy. I also want to be able to enjoy the campus because I’ll only be spending a little time on the football field.”
Ausberry, who runs the 40-yard dash in 5.2 seconds, bench-presses 265 pounds and squats 460, will camp at Virginia this summer. He can also play defense although he last played defensive tackle as a sophomore. Bud Foster is recruiting him for Virginia Tech while Al Golden is making the pitch for Virginia.
