Jeremiah Criddell grew up going to USC games and following the Trojans.

When the 2019 four-star cornerback from Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., landed an offer from the Pac-12 powerhouse on Monday at summer camp there was no doubt it was huge in his recruitment.

“Growing up I went to SC games on the regular,” Criddell said.

“USC was the first college I was really introduced to growing up and I obviously am so familiar with the area. It feels a lot like home.”

On his trip to USC yesterday, Criddell met the coaches and really got an even better feel for the program.

The 2019 standout said it’s too early to say USC cannot be beaten in his recruitment but the Trojans are definitely up there.

“I met the entire coach staff (Monday) and I showed off my abilities to coach (Ronnie) Bradford, coach (Clay) Helton and to everyone that attended the camp,” Criddell said.

“It’s a true honor to be blessed with such a major opportunity to earn a great education and to be developed by such great coaches to be able to play at the next level.”

Big offer?

“It’s a huge offer in my recruitment,” Criddell said.

So far, the four-star prospect has landed offers from USC, Arizona State, BYU, Colorado, Nebraska, Oregon, TCU, UCLA, Utah, Utah State and Washington State.

Cal and Washington have been showing a lot of new interest and Criddell is heading to Alabama's camp in mid-July.

The Rancho Cucamonga star definitely likes USC a lot but it sounds like he’ll still take things slowly at least through his junior season.

“Too early to say (that USC is going to be tough to beat) but the interest is high,” Criddell said.
