Huge MD wideout has lots of interest

Massive wide receivers don't go under the radar for long and that is definitely the case for 6-foot-5, 200-pound wideout Tyjae Blackwell. The Salisbury (Md.) Wicomico star has numerous colleges taking an interest so far.
"His recruiting is top notch," Wicomico head coach David Nettles said. "A lot of schools are showing a massive interest, a lot of Division I schools.

"They include Notre Dame, Connecticut, Maryland, Michigan, Pittsburgh, Duke, Syracuse, Rutgers, Temple, West Virginia, Penn State, Virginia and North Carolina. He is the real deal."
Nettles discussed his star player in further depth.
"He's unbelievable and an unbelievable route runner," he stated. "He has been working at that for years. He's deceivingly fast and his hands are exceptional too. He misses nothing. You throw at him and he'll catch it.
"He's got a very good work ethic too, but needs to improve his quickness and quick twitch muscle fibers. Once he gets that popped he'll be unstoppable."
Off the field, Blackwell boasts a 2.5 GPA.
"He's a very quiet kid that is extremely excited about what's going on," he said. "It's starting to sync in that he's the type of athlete that is getting recognized."
Even though it's extremely early, Wicomico has another prospect to watch in 2013 athlete Dontea Ayers.
"He's 5-foot-9, 198-pounds and is probably the best athlete that has come through here," he said. "He is extremely smart and has a great work ethic."
