Huge lineman emerging from NJ

It is not always easy to stay hidden when you are 6-foot-8 and 272-pounds, but that seems to have been the case with offensive lineman Julien Davenport of Paulsboro, N.J. However, the big lineman, who also excels on the basketball court, is now quickly becoming a name to remember.
"Recruiting is good," said Davenport. "I just came back from the Temple camp and I think they're going to offer me. I'm also getting a lot of interest from Penn State, UConn, Wisconsin and Iowa."

Aside from the Temple camp, Davenport will also attend the Penn State camp on June 16th.
"I want to prove that I'm a great football player, a leader, and that I can bring great talent and hard work to any program," said Davenport, who does have offers from Old Dominion and Bucknell.
Since his junior season ended, Davenport has made it a priority to spend all of his free time improving his game.
"The coaches say that I have good footwork and all, but I still want to better that and work on my strength," said Davenport.
Aside from the interest he is receiving for his football skills, Davenport is also getting plenty of interest for basketball.
"I'm receiving looks from St. John's, Iona, Quinnipiac, Hofstra and Temple too," said Davenport. "Most likely I'd rather play football, but Temple wants me to play both. If I go to Temple I may try it to see how it would feel."
