Huge DT Has Top Two

Fayetteville (N.C.) E.E. Smith defensive tackle DeMarcus Tyler doesn't want to name a leader, but two teams certainly stand out in the mind of the big defender.
"I really like NC State and North Carolina," said Tyler, who stands 6-foot-3 and weighs in at 315 pounds. "Those two have offered me and they're close to home. I always liked North Carolina growing up but NC State has been recruiting me hard and they're upgrading their facilities and have become a Top 25 team now so they're right up there."

Tyler, a dominating tackle, also has an offer from Tennessee after a standout performance at camp.
"Tennessee was a great place," he said. "I'm also considering them, Florida State, Clemson, Maryland and South Carolina. I want to visit some places before I decide anything, but right now the teams that have offered are getting my attention."
Tyler already received phone calls from NC State, North Carolina and Tennessee this month amongst others.
"There are a lot of teams recruiting me," he said. "I expect a bunch of calls. I'd like to stay close to home, but I'll go outside of North Carolina if it's the right place."
