Huge 2008 OG is starting to receive looks

Offensive guard Harris Howard out of Roswell (Ga.) Blessed Trinity Catholic is a 2008 prospect to keep an eye on. The 6-foot-3, 275-pounder favors two schools early in the process.
"Right now I'm kind of favoring Georgia and Georgia Tech, but I also like LSU a lot too," he said. "They are my personal favorites and I have noticed that they have had a lot of recent success."

At the moment, Howard has been receiving interest from Georgia, Georgia Tech, LSU, Stanford, Boston College, Vanderbilt and the Ivy League. What is the lineman prospect looking for out of a school?
"First and foremost for me is academics. Academics are big for me especially since you never know about a professional football career," he said. "Then as far as sports are concerned I'll be looking at the program and coaching staff they have there."
Last season Howard earned first team all-Northside Atlanta Journal.
"I think my best attributes on the field are my knowledge of the game," he said. "Technically speaking I feel I'm a very solid run and pass blocker, but I think my pass blocking may be a little bit better."
The Peach State lineman isn't just a great football player, but he also wrestles.
"I'm a varsity heavyweight wrestler and finished sixth in the area last year," he said. "I was a match away from qualifying for the state and I think I'm still sort of growing into it. Though I've seen success in wrestling, I still definitely prefer football in college."
This summer Howard plans to attend camps at Georgia, Georgia Tech and Vanderbilt.
