Greg Hoyd had a great game last weekend with an interception for a touchdown, two forced fumbles and seven tackles.
The Washington State commit from Vista Murrieta (Calif.) said shortly after the game, a school from the ACC started to show interest.
"I just made plays," Hoyd said. "I was loving the environment of getting after it. I was able to make plays in the right spots.Georgia Tech hit me up (Saturday) morning. Once you have a good game, they start coming out again."
The three-star prospect from California has been committed to Washington State since mid-May and he recently took a visit to Pullman, which further solidified his pledge. But Hoyd doesn't want to shut out any programs.
The Vista Murrieta standout said he wants to keep all his options open and at least listen to the other coaching staffs to see what they could offer.
"They're starting to show interest again and they're starting to talk to me," Hoyd said. "I think some other schools are going to hit me up. I saw some other schools in the stands so that's good.
"I'm still strong with Washington State. I want to plan some other officials and maybe some other offers could come in. Washington State is treating me really well, but if new schools come in you have to see what's going on."
So far, Hoyd has offers from Washington State, Duke, Fresno State, New Mexico State, NC State, Toledo and Utah.
