Howell gets offer, has visits

Athlete prospect Dan Howell (6-2, 210, 4.6) from Newhall (Calif.) Hart is having a stellar season and is one of the reasons that Hart has been able to bounce back after three tough out of conferences losses. Hart is now hitting it on all cylinders and exactly the right time.
Howell is doing the job on both sides of the ball as a running back and defensive back.

As a running back, Howell has rushed just shy of 1,000 yards and has scored 16 touchdowns. He is also an awesome receiver out of the backfield catching 18 passes for 155 yards and two more touchdowns.
On defense, Howell has 32 tackles and two interceptions as a defensive back.
Howell has an offer from Colorado State and he has a visit set to Fresno State on December 19th.
Howell has committed visits to Washington and Colorado State but the dates are pending on the playoffs.
Harvard (brother attends Harvard) is also recruiting Howell.
“I have no favorites at this time,” Howell said. “I still have some football to play.”
Howell was selected all-league first team and all-CIF second as a corner his junior season. Howell racked up 25 tackles, five picks (one that was brought back for a touchdown), five pass deflections and two sacks from his cornerback position.
In spot duty as a running back Howell rushed for 234 yards on 30 carries while averaging 7.8 yards per carry and scored 2 touchdowns as a junior.
“Daniel is a tremendous athlete,” Hart head coach Mike Herrington said in an earlier interview. “He has a very good demeanor and is intense.”
“Daniel is also very intelligent and a quick learner,” Herrington said. “He picked up all the coverages relatively easy. Daniel is your lockdown cover corner.”
