Howell follows through with commitment

Two weeks ago, we talked with Fresno (Calif.) Bullard offensive lineman Nick Howell who said he would be making his college commitment at the USC- Arizona State game. The game took place yesterday and Howell followed through by committing to the Trojans.
“I just wanted to do it in person,” Howell said. “I’ve wanted to be a Trojan ever since I was little and started following football. With my dad playing there, you could say I grew up a Trojan and it’s a huge thrill for me to be going there right now.

“They offered me at their camp in the summer and I came close to committing at that time but I decided to hold off a little so I could see what else was out there. No one else could really compare to what USC had to offer so before the game yesterday, I went ahead and told the coaches that I wanted to be a Trojan. My dad and I were very excited and so were the coaches. It was just a great moment and then watching them go out and dominate a pretty good ASU team made the whole day that much better.”
Howell, 6-5, 255 pounds was one of the top three offensive linemen we saw at the NorCal Nike Camp but it was his standout showing at the Trojans camp that got him his offer from the staff. Cal, Washington, Arizona and Fresno State had also offered Howell.
