Howard prepping for visits

Laurel (Miss.) 2016 quarterback Keon Howard has thrown the ball all over the field the last couple of years and made quite a name for himself on the high school scene in Mississippi.
The standout checks in at a stout 6-foot, 210-pounds and he has already caught the attention of several college programs.

"Right now I have received letters from Alabama, Florida State, North Carolina…Ole Miss wants me to come to their junior day, Mississippi State wants me to come to their junior day, and Southern Miss wants me to come there so I'll probably go to all of them," Howard said. "Then I'm probably going to take a trip to Florida State."
Two of those programs have shown more interest than the others.
"Right now I'd say Mississippi State, and Ole Miss a little bit," Howard said.
As for what he is looking for in a future college, there is one thing in particular which comes to mind for the standout gunslinger.
"Shotgun, someone who runs a spread offense," Howard said.
Howard is ready to take in the recruiting process, and he admits he did grow up following one team which featured a former Laurel standout.
"Akeem Davis from Memphis, his senior year he won state at Laurel and then he went to Memphis and became a safety," Howard said.
