Howard misses visit but nears commitment

"I was supposed to go to Michigan State this weekend," defensive back/running back Tony Howard said. "It was supposed to be an unofficial visit. But I couldn't make it."
"If I would have went I probably would have committed. I'll go to their next home game."

"I'm looking at Michigan State, Pitt, Maryland, Boston College, and South Carolina."
"I like Michigan State best. Their program's turned completely around. Their coaching staff is good and it's close to home."
The 6-foot-0 and 190 pound Howard, from Garfield Heights, Ohio, intercepted four passes and rushed for 1223 yards during his junior season. He has three interceptions and close to 1500 yards rushing through seven games his senior season. Howard said all five schools on his list have offered a scholarship.
