Howard hearing more from UCLA

Theo Howard had an excellent showing at the UCLA Elite Camp last week and the Bruins are starting to express more interest.
The 2016 wide receiver from Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian is definitely excited to hear more - and he hopes an offer might be coming soon.

Howard, a 5-foot-11, 168-pound prospect, said he knows former Oaks Christian players like Jordan Payton and Ishmael Adams are at UCLA and that could play a big factor later in his recruitment if the Bruins happen to offer.
"I had a conversation with coach (Jim) Mora and after the camp coach (Eric) Yarber said I did amazing out there and I did a really good job of competing," Howard said. "He said he'll be pushing to get me an offer soon."
It's early for the 2016 prospect but there's no question Howard wants to have UCLA more in the picture in the future.
"It would really be great," Howard said.
"I feel very comfortable with UCLA. When I visited the coaching staff is all down-to-earth people and UCLA has always been high on my list. I still know many people from Oaks that still go there."
So far, the Oaks Christian standout has been offered by Washington State and San Diego State. He did not attend the USC Rising Stars Camp last week.
Other than new interest from UCLA, Howard said Arizona State, Tennessee, Michigan and Wyoming have reached out.
An offer from the Bruins would definitely be huge but Howard said he doesn't want to rush any decision.
"I would sit back and see how everything goes," Howard said. "I'm pretty much done for the summer now. It's starting to settle down."
